Ingredients: ----------- 1 cup rice 1/2 cup moong daal 4-5 green chillies finely chopped (you may reduce chillies) 1 tsp cumin seeds Salt to taste 2 tsp unsalted melted butter Method: ------ There are different methods to make Khichdi. This is one of them, some methods do not add chillies and add sugar instead to make it sweet. Some add more water to make it soggy. Mix rice and daal. Wash 2-3 times in cold water. Drain. In a pressure cooker, heat butter and add cumin seeds n green chillies. Allow seeds to crackle. Add rice+daal and mix. Add water (3 cups to 1.5 rice+daal mixture) or more if you want it soggy. Add salt. Pressure cook for 3 whistles. Cool the pressure cooker and serve khichdi hot. Add a spoon of butter on top of it while serving. Ronnie
