Cabbage

Ingredients: ------------ 1 medium size cabbage 1 whole red dried chilly 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 tsp turmeric handful of green peas (20 in no. approx.) salt to taste 1 tbsp oil 3 tbsp grated cocunut - OPTIONAL Method: ------- Slice cabbage very fine and cut them 2 inches in length. Do not use the stem of the cabbage. In a deep utensil, heat oil. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds and allow them to crackle. Crush red chilly and add it along with green peas. Stir and add cabbage, turmeric and stir it so that everything mixes well. Let the cabbage cook for 15 minutes or so. Keep mixing every 3-4 minutes on medium heat. You may want to cook it with lid on, but I generally cook it open. Once cabbage is done, add salt as required. You can add grated cocunut at this time, mix well and turn off the heat.
