Lucha Va Voom is a comedy/mexican wrestling/burlesque show created in Los Angelas. The show starts out with a brief explaination by host Blaine Capatch of what the event is all about and what to expect.

The first act features one of "The Buxotica" girls doing a strip tease (not full nudity). Then after the crowd has been warmed up we move on to the first mexican wresting match. For those of you who don't know the difference between ordinary wrestling and mexican wrestling, let me just say that mexican wrestling has more high-flying, high-risk moves, and most of the wrestlers are masked. |

Then the show constantly rotates between burlesque and wrestling. Eventually we get to see some midget wrestling which, by the way, is very entertaining. A lot of those little guys are quite built. Plus during every event there is awesome comediac commentary by Blaine Capatch (former host of Beat the Geeks, and writer for Mad TV) and Patton Oswalt (Spence on The King of Queens) which is where the comedy portion of the show fits in. |

All and all, the whole show is a very amazing experience, except for the outrageously priced beer, and I would recommend it to anyone who can get the chance to see it (the show was created by Rita D'Albert and originates in LA, I saw a special show that took place at the Kool Haus in Toronto, a 2 day event). I hope it will eventually come back to Canada so I can see it again. |

Also to top off a great night I stuck around after the show and had a chance to meet and hang out with host Blaine Capatch (whom I love, he's a great comedian). I also talked to Patton Oswalt for a bit and told him how much I love him on The King of Queens. Then George Stoumboulopolous, a Much Music VJ asked my friends and I to do an interview with him about the show for Much News which was pretty awesome. My only regret is that I ran out of film and couldn't get my pic taken with Patton Oswalt...oh well, hopefully next time. |

Even though I ran out of film when I met Patton I'm still gonna put a pic of him here for all those of you who don't know who he is. |
