I began the counseling psychology program in the fall of 2001 and obtained my masters degree in counseling in 2003. I am currently in the counseling psychology doctoral program. My areas of interest include physical disability and psychoneuroimmunology more specifically, how mental health, or the lack of, affects the body, the immune system, and recovery from physical trauma. I currently work as a psychological associate on the brain injury and pulmonary units at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital, where I do counseling with a variety of populations, including patients with brain injuries and pulmonary disease.

I am currently working on a proposal for a research study involving self-management interventions for individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
