| <--General Plot-->A battle is being waged for control of the forest... <--Characters--> ~Ashitaka~ A kind and brave prince who fought a horrible demon and so was cursed and fated to die. He leaves home to find a way to lift the curse and stumbles into many interesting people along the way. ~Princess Mononoke~Mononoke Hime,San, the adopted daughter of Moro, a giant wolf goddess who protects the forest. She lives to kill Lady Eboshi and see every last human out of her forest. ~Lady Eboshi~ The leader of Iron Town. She cuts down the forest, striving to turn what she sees as useless land into something more productive. She's determined to kill the Great Forest Spirit, the very life of the forest. ~Nago~ A giant boar that was shot by Eboshi. After he was shot Nago went mad and turned into a demon. Ashitaka was forced to kill him to defend his village. During the fight however, they touched and Ashitka came under the power of a painful, deadly curse. ~Moro~ Giant wolf, protector oof othe forest and Mononoke's adoptive mother. She, like her daughter would love nothing more than to see the humans out of her forest. ~Okkotonushi~ The blind leader of the giant boar clan. He leads the boars in a last ditch effort to rid the forest of humans once and for all. ~Jiko~ A greedy monk who makes a deal with Eboshi to get the head of the Great Forest Spirit for the Emperor. <--Other Characters--> ~Kaya~Ashitaka's sister. ~Kouroku~ Ok cart driver from Iron Town, Toki's husband. ~Hii Sama~ Wise Woman in Ashitaka's village. She informs Ashitaka the he will eventually die from the demon mark Nago gave him. ~Gonza~Eboshi's right hand man ~Lord Asano~ Attacks Iron Town ~Toki~ Kouroku's wife. A strong, brave lady. |
