Ryo Sanada is the unofficial leader of the Ronin Warriors. I guess you could say that 'everything happens to him'. Which is why some people don't like him, because they think that he takes up too much of the story line where other things about other characters could be placed. I like Ryo because of his caring quality. The fact that he'll protect his friends no matter what. He is probably the best friend that any of them have. Ryo has a very stubborn will, which helped him to get through even the hardest battles. He is a good natured person, although he has one flaring temper, which you do not want to get in the way of if you're the bad guy. When I think about the series as a whole, I think of how hard the Ronins were tried, mentally and physically. But always I come down to this conclusion: Ryo had it the hardest. He had to revive the other warriors, and none of that was an easy task, most of it involved lots of pain. Every time it involved pain. If you think about it, he took on the world, almost, and all the pain and suffering that each and every one of them went through, heck he fought the first battle practically by himself. Seriously people, during the first battle, when they all armored, I think that all the others did was stand there, except for Rowen who shot one arrow at the soldier. (oh joy...no offense Rowen of course...) It was his Flare Up Now that brought down the soldier...(of course we all remember the reaction to the power of that thing: *mouths dropped open and gaping* wwowwwwwwww...lol) He revived three of the other Ronins who did save him in the end, but hey, you'd be exhausted too. And then he wiped out other Dynasty warriors when they came after they vanquished Tulpa for the first time with the Inferno armor (above left for all you newbies) which draws power from any of the other 8 armors, warlords included. Ryo, aside from being very caring, is also very sarcastic. He's the most sarcastic one out of the group, which is actually funny, because he's just like, aw man, dark warlords, you guys are annoying, are you done yet? Haha, sometimes he cracks me up. But then there's also the thing where he likes to comment a lot on Tulpa's decorating. *sweatdrop* And then he calls Kayura a babe. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT FLAME BOY?! Ryo: what?! what'd I do?! ~_~ Anyway, aside from being the main point of the story line, I also think that Ryo is the most photogenic of the group. (I can see those eyes bugging out, don't try and fool me! Or is that some of you nodding in agreement? oh, okay) I think I have more fan art of him than I do any other character. I know, there's only one of them in the fan art gallery...that's the best one that I've ever done of him, it's almost carbon copy to the original. But that's actually Rekka no Ryo (or YST Ryo, yes I am picky sometimes about which one is which...I'll rant about that later...) Personally I think it's the eye shape...Sage has the same style, (schnikes though you can only see one of them...without armor, but that's one of the things that makes Sage, Sage, You can read my rantings about him in his character bio) And maybe the hair...gotta love the hair, the main two things that make anime anime is the hair and the eyes, even though Ronin and YST aren't 'traditional anime' as I call it, it still has the same two features that make it unique. I don't know, I just know there are more pictures of Ryo out there that I'd like to draw than of any other character.
