"Hans review continued"
Weapon:   The first version of the MP40 was included with Hans.  This version is unique in the sense that it was the only version where there was no round (bullet) represented in the magazine.  The MP40 version that was released with Gerhard (Dragon's third figure release), had a round represented on the top of the magazine.  The MP40 version packaged with Hans is very detailed, with the only down fall being the unrealistic looking elastic sling that is attached to the weapon.  Still this early version of the MP40 was still steps ahead of other versions of the MP40 released by other companies.
Grade:   9.5 (A+).

Overall Grade:   9.3 (A).

Closing comments:   I always wanted to do a figure review of the orginal Hans and I'm glad that I finally got around to do so.  This figure had such a big impact on the 1/6th scale figure world back in 1999, that can still be felt and seen today.  Everything that Dragon does today has evolved from the creation of this very distinctive and special figure.  What is cool is you can still find Hans floating around on E-Bay for a decent price.  When he was originally released, he sold for $35.95.  Today, you may be able to get one as cheap as $45-50 dollars.  It is still a good deal considering this figure is over four years old.  If you have a chance to get the original trend setter, buy all means do so.  I currently only own one Hans, but plan on getting at least one more in the future.
