THE FATHERS PLANIn the beginning when the worlds began,
I created the universe and then I made man.
In their far distant orbits light years from Earth
Hang myriad’s of stars which I brought to birth.
I an Alpha, Omega, the first and the last
All of your future and all of your past.
Nothing eludes me and nothing’s unseen,
Out of my presence flow life giving streams. The earth lies in ruins ravaged by sin
The whole of humanity is dying within,
Crippled and tarnished held in its power
Bound fast with steel chains in Satan’s strong tower.
There’s torture and bondage, wars and distress
Humanity crying and no-one cares less.
The prince of the air inflicts men with pains
Until the great day when I bind men in chains.“What are you playing at” men rage at me!
You don’t care about us you don’t seem to see!
You really don’t know what it’s like to feel pain
Or live with no roof outside in the rain.
Come down from heaven! Come down and see!
What it’s like to be Jewish and hated like me.
I’m sick of the poverty hunger and need
whilst you sit in heaven and watch while we bleed. They’re starving in Africa and die in the heat
In London they mug old men in the street.
They’re warring in Ireland, men die in your name
So if you are listening we think you’re to blame.
Answer us God if you really are there!
Come down from the clouds and show us you care.
Can it be right to live so removed?
From Bosnia and Belfast your indifference you’ve proved. But I know how you’re feeling. I hear what you say
Pour it all out upon me, just turn now and pray
Give me your anger and give me your pain,
Pour out your soul and I’ll bear the strain.
The battles not yours, it’s mine cant you see?
I gave you my heart hanging there on that tree.
I gave it all for you, I gave up my throne
So you could inherit my riches and home.My son, though a king once in poverty came
And he lived his life on the hills in the rain.
“Jew” was his title whilst there in the world
The people he lived for, abuses they hurled.
His race was despised the scorn of the earth,
And there was nowhere lower for his humble birth,
In the stench of a cowshed out there in the east
No banquet to welcome or rich royal feast. And then on a hillside through envy and greed
They tortured and beat him and left him to bleed.
The nails were rough iron and his flesh felt the hurt
My soul ached in anguish, my son was just dirt.
The lowest of life forms cursed on a tree,
For he that they hated is lovely to me.
The demons they danced and Satan laughed loud
And venom was spit from the hate driven crowd. But then from the silence and shame of the tree
His voice woke the dead and many walked free.
the demons all scattered and Satan’s crown fell,
As Jesus in triumph condemned him to hell.
Tetelesti! accomplished, finished at last,
Sin’s domination a thing of the past.
Now standing in glory at my side supreme
Your pains and your sorrow, your heartache he’s seen.He suffered it all in Satan’s embrace
That life he may offer to the whole human race.
My pain as a father was real and true,
But through him my glory is offered to you.
Each pain and each hardship you suffer below
I feel in heaven, I see, and I know.
But it is all temporal and passing you see
For those who love Jesus will live here with me.In heaven all tears I’ll wipe from your eye
And there’ll never again be a reason to cry.
Together, we’ll sing a new song to the lamb
and remember the pain he once suffered as man.
There you, as a bride adorned for the groom
Will sing and rejoice in my banqueting room.
And I as a father will laugh once again
For the children I’ve gained through my only Son’s pain.
