I started commuting to and from work on a bicycle about 4 years ago and did so for about 1 1/2 years. I was an avid runner in middle school and road occasionally on and off as well. When I started commuting I was introduced to a woman named Galen Williams. She was the Membership Director for the Tyler Bicycle Club. I joined the club and have enjoyed it immensely.

    I've been a member for about 2 1/2 yrs. now, and just finished a term as Vice President of the club. The club is a member of the Texas Bicycle Coalition (TBC), a bike advocacy group, organizers of the Beauty and the Beast Bicycle Tour in Tyler, Texas, and help maintain the mountain bike trails at Tyler State Park.
