Some of My Favorite Recipes

I do nearly all of the cooking at home. These are some recipes that I make often. Most are adapted from some cookbook or magazine, others are my own creations.

Got Leftover Halloween Candy?

  • Cut up those leftover junior candy bars and add them to your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe instead of chocolate chips. Use 3 cups of candy bar chunks. 3-Musketeers Bars tend to melt and burn, so be careful with those.
  • Cut the junior bars into large chunks, about the size of a chocolate kiss. Make your favorite peanut butter cookie and instead of crisscrossing with a fork, roll into balls and roll the balls into granulated sugar. Bake for half the baking time. Remove from oven and press a candy bar chunk into the center of each cookie. Return to oven and finish baking.
  • Cut up your Snickers, Crunch Bars, Butterfingers, and Baby Ruth's into chunks and add to my Rongill Brownie recipe.
