KLB - KLB Technology define the usage of 10G interfaces as place holder for a KOLAV.
The RFC define a 10G interface and a Transciver that will be used for a standard KOLAV which is popolar device at the industry.
The standard define a low profile KOLAV which is best fit to XFP Transcivers socket and high profile for XENPACK transcivers.

Currently the most popular usage of KLB is at Modular core switches but soon it will be deployed also on access switches.
Although the technology is new, it was found stable on few production networks.

Next releases will focus on security and new interfaces such as SFP+.
