To what extent was Wales a non-conformist society in the 19th century ?. This essay looks at the inability of the established 'Anglican' church to provide spiritual and pastoral care within the industrial towns of south Wales, leading to a breakaway movement from the 'Church' to the 'Non-conformist' movements of the Baptists, Methodists, Unitarian and of course the independent chapel faiths.

This essay is titled 'Discuss the part played by industry, non-conformity and education, in the growth of Wales as a nation'. It discusses how the three items are interwoven together, and how they helped to mould Wales from a 'Country lost in time', to a modern nation.

To what extent is Wales a nation ?. This essay looks at the rise of Wales from obscurity to that of an almost independent nation in its own right.

This rather short essay looks at the rise and fall of the coal and slate industries in Wales, and the 'boom and bust' years of the industry.
