This essay looks at the various types of crime that have been made possible by the misuse of information technology. The essay goes on to ask 'Has the wholesale adoption of IT in the workplace created new opportunities for criminals'.



Here we ask the question "How has the workplace altered over the last 100 years, with most emphasis on the nuclear and post-nuclear periods" We look at the magic words "Downsizing", "Decentralisation" and "Deskilling" of the workforce etc. Are we returning to the 'Victorian' ideals of a compliant workforce ?.



This essay looks at things like 'Chatterbots' 'Avators', 'Net Perceptions', 'Personal Network Technology', and 'Virtual Reality' to quote just a few of the changes we can expect in the near future. Because of the rapid changes in technology, this essay may well be already out of date.



What is a 'free' ISP, do we need them, will they cause an Internet overload. We discuss what advantages these 'free' ISPs get from their altruism. We ask 'Is there such a thing as a free lunch'. 'Alta Vista' reports that the 6 most used search words are : Sex, nude, adult, woman, naked, and erotic. ( ? male orientated)



What is a 'Teleworker', what do they do, and how do they do it etc. This essay looks at the work of a 'Teleworker', and discusses the the advantages and disadvantages of working from home as opposed to working in an 'office' environment.


This essay explains how this site was constructed. It was written to accompany a student mythological web site as a part of my htmlL course. It explains the essence of the pages. It also contains a list of WWW sites that give help to budding web-page builders. All sites can be accessed directly from this page.


This essay looks at how to enter meaningful words into a search engine to cut out all the shit that one gets if careless. There is also a list of useful WWW contact pages that can be accessed directly from this page. Lots of useful stuff here.
