| RONAN AND WESTLIFE |
| Westlife began as IOU. At that time there were only three members, Shane, Mark and Kian. When Louis Walsh saw them perform he was so impressed that he wanted to manage them and asked Ronan to be co- manager. Ronan got on with the lads very well so he decided to co-manage them. Auditions were held to get two new members. |
| The groups name was changed from IOU to Westside and finally Westlife! Westlife joined Boyzone on their 1998 tour (unfortunately they weren't able to perform in Holland) and since then their first 7 singles got number one hits!!! (Swear it again, If I let you go, Flying without wings, I had a dream/Seasons in the sun. Fool again, Against all odds(with Mariah Carey) and My love.) Their last single What makes a man "only" went to number two. |
| ** I'd like them to be the biggest band in the world! It's taken a lot of hard work and hopefully they'll keep their feet on the ground, but I think there's a lot of potential there ** RONAN |
