RULES & REGULATIONS

| General Rules | ||||
| The tournament fee will be $50.00 and should be settled before the tournament starts. | ||||
| Groupings of the squad will be decided by drawing of lots. | ||||
| All qualifying matches will be a single round-robin format. | ||||
| Each player will play against every player in their designated squad. | ||||
| All matches must be played on or before the scheduled date. | ||||
| Venue and day/time of match will be decided and agreed by the opposing individual. | ||||
| A player who did not show up on the scheduled match (without prior notice) will be defaulted. | ||||
| A match won by default will be awarded with the maximum point. | ||||
| In case both players were not able to meet the schedule, both players will be defaulted. | ||||
| In the event a player retires, the final score shall remain and will be used in the quotient calculation | ||||
| Official balls will be provided. | ||||
| Only official balls must be used during matches. | ||||
| Both players shall decide who will take the ball after the match. | ||||
| Prizes will be given as follows: | ||||

|   | 1st Runner-up | Trophy | $100.00 | 15 Ranking Points |
|   | 2nd Runner-up | Trophy |   | 10 Ranking Points |
| Ladies | |||
|
Ladies draw will be a single squad with 9 players. |
|||
| Qualifying matches will be a single round-robin format, race to 9 games with a tie-break at 8 games all. | |||
| Top 4 players will advance to the Semifinals. | |||
| Matches on the Semifinals and Finals will be best of 3 sets with tie-break at 6 games all. | |||
| Semifinalists will be determined by the accumulated ranking points after the round-robin. Ranking points is given as follows : Match Winner - 2 points Match Loser   - 1 point Winner by default - 2 points (9 points is also added to the quotient) Loser by default   - 0 points |

| In case of a tie, the player with the higher quotient will advance. | |||
| If there is still a tie, whoever won in their round-robin match will prevail. | |||
| If the tie involves 3 or more players, the player with the highest quotient against each other will prevail. Their quotient against the players who are not involved in the tie will be ignored. | |||
| The Semifinal match-up will be the Top Qualifier vs the 4th Qualifier and 2nd vs 3rd Qualifiers. | |||
| There will be no match between the 2 losers at the semis. Both will be declared 2nd Runner-up. | |||
| Men |
| Men will be grouped into 3 classifications, A, B & C. Each Men's group will be divided into 3 squads with 7 players in each squad. |
| Men's qualifying matches will be a single round-robin format, best of 3 sets with tie-break at 6 games all. |
| Top 2 players from each squad will advance to their respective Class quarterfinals. Two best 3rd placers from each Class will also qualify to the quarterfinals. |
| Quarterfinalists will be decided by the accumulated ranking points after the round-robin. Ranking points is given as follows : Match Winner - 2 points Match Loser   - 1 point Winner by default - 2 points (2 points is also awarded to Sets Won) Loser by default   - 0 points |
| In case of a tie, the player with the most number of sets won will advance. |
| If there is still a tie, whoever won in their round-robin match will prevail. |
| If the tie involves 3 or more players, the player with the highest quotient against each other will prevail. Their quotient against players who are not involved in the tie will be ignored. |
| There will be another round of draw once the top 8 (quarterfinalist) in each class has been decided. This will be the final draw and shall be followed throughout the championship. |
| There will be no match between the 2 losers at the semis. Both will be declared 2nd Runner-up. |
