| EastPoint Green Condo, Simei - | |
| Ms Amica Lumanog of DBS Bank emerged victorious in her quest of becoming the first lady to be | |
| crowned “the champ” in the inaugural Ronald’s Cup Tournament for Ladies. She defeated Ms Milo | |
| Mataas of Citibank 6-1 6-1 in an hour of gruelling baseline rallies. With her trademark “kanto-kanto” | |
| shot, she took control of the match from the beginning against Milo who looks exhausted after | |
| a 3 day semifinal battle against Ms Roceliza Reyes of UOB. | |
| Amica posted a resounding 8-0 win-loss record in her round robin matches conceding only 8 games in | |
| her last 5 round robin matches. 3 is the number of games she conceded in her semifinal & final | |
| matches. With a perfect 10-0 win-loss record, she will ascend to the top of the ranking overtaking Milo. | |
| In by far the most exciting and breath-taking match in the history of Ronald’s Cup, the Ladies | |
| semifinal match between Milo and Roceliza goes to the history book as the longest match in the open | |
| era. It took 3 days (kasama yung pagtutuyo ng court) to decide which among the 2 will advance to the | |
| finals. Milo, facing 5 match-point during the 3rd-set tie-breaker, rallied using her much dependable | |
| slice backhand to level 6-all. Visibly shaken, Roceliza conceded the next 2 points giving Milo the | |
| remaining berth for the Finals and the chance for the spectators to breathe…..Hayyyyyy….. | |
