RULES
    Team Composition and Grouping
  • For Doubles A/B, the team composition is (Class A and Class B) or (2 Class B)
  • For Doubles B/C, the team composition is (Class B and Class C) or (2 Class C)
  • For Mixed Doubles, the team composition is (Class B and a lady) or (Class C and a lady)
  • Doubles A/B will have 14 teams and will be divided into 2 squads of 7 teams each.
    Doubles B/C will have 14 teams and will be divided into 2 squads of 7 teams each.
    Mixed doubles is a single squad with 8 teams.
    Games Format
  • Qualifying matches will be a single round-robin format, best of 3 sets with tie-break at 6 games all. Tie-break is race to 7 points (slide 2)
  • Top 2 teams from each squad will qualify for the reversed Semifinals for Class A/B and B/C.
    Top 2 teams from the Mixed Doubles will qualify for the Finals.
  • For Class A/B and B/C, there will be no 3rd/4th placing match-up. Both losers at the semifinal will be declared 2nd Runner-up.
  • For the Mixed Doubles, the 3rd and the 4th place at the final standing will be both declared 2nd Runner-up.
  • Court bookings is to be provided by the players.
  • Slazenger will be the official ball for the tournament.
  • All matches must be played on or before the scheduled date, no extension.
  • A match won by default will be awarded with the maximum point.
  • In the event a team retires, the final score shall remain and will be used in the quotient calculation.
    Point System and Tie Break
  • Qualifiers will be determined by the accumulated Ranking Points after the round-robin.
  • Ranking points is given as follows :
    Match Winner - 2 points
    Match Loser   - 1 point
    Winner by default - 2 points (2 points is also awarded to Sets Won)
    Loser by default   - 0 points
  • In case of a tie, the team with the most number of Sets Won will advance.
  • If there is still a tie, the team who won in their round-robin match will prevail.
  • If the tie involves 3 or more teams, the team with the highest quotient among the teams that tied will prevail. Their quotient against teams that are not involved in the tie will not be counted.
    Prizes
  • For Class A/B and B/C :
    Champion - Trophy + $200.00 cash.
    1st Runner-up - Trophy + $150.00 cash.
    2nd Runner-up - Trophy.
  • For Mixed Doubles :
    Champion - Trophy + $150.00 cash.
    1st Runner-up - Trophy + $100.00 cash.
    2nd Runner-up - Trophy.
