I have routinely experienced multiple feelings of second wind for some time now and would like to tell others about how to accomplish this feeling.
By second wind, I mean that feeling of it all of a sudden getting easier to breathe during an exercise session. For all who have experienced this, it's a wonderful feeling and you feel like you can go on forever (or at least a long time) when it happens. The slight shortness of breath those with lung disease feel when they exercise goes away. To feel a "third wind", turn your treadmill speed up just a little bit (0.1 mile per hour if you can)and keep walking.
It takes me about 10 minutes to feel it again.
In order to feel this relief, you've got to start your walk on the treadmill very slowly-so slow that is only just a tiny bit difficult to walk at that speed.
Walk at that speed for a full 10 minutes and then turn the treadmill speed up 0.1 mile per hour.
When it gets harder to walk, don't turn the treadmill up untill you feel a 2nd wind effect.
I hope this works for you too! Please let me know if it does.
