TRUTH AND REMEMBRANCE
It takes a variety
To make up this world.
So that the balance
May be maintained
And peace can be reached
Throughout the lands.
As the rains fall
From the Heavens
So all things may grow
As the plants purify the air
So God created nature
To purify our world.
For our selfish wants and needs
As we gradually destroy our world.
For man always seems to take
More than we give back
To our natural resources.
Like the turn of the clock
It travels right along
Not looking back
To see what is gone
For there are some
Who care enough to share
They help the misfortunate
Who cannot always
help themselves.
They ask for nothing in return
But to try to help others
Like themselves
For the others,
Some who share
And repay the good deeds done
For what they have received
And
Some who only think
Of what they may need
They will give to get
Their own selfish needs
For a mist of fog
Clutters their mind
As they live in a dream
Of a fools paradise
They see no wrong
In their doings.
In their minds
They are always right
Their minds are closed
To ignore the damage
They have done
To other peoples lives
And they gradually destroy
Their own fools paradise
As the scales
Are soon to be swayed
And the balance is gone
From beneath their feet
As the clouded joys
clear from their heads
And the sands of time
Are almost at its end.
As the air blows
Away the fog
From their sights
then they shall know
The wrongs for
which they wrote.
For everything they have
Begged, borrowed, or stolen.
For giving is grand
It creates a
utopia of the mind
But to the selfish
It seems like such
A waste of time.
For it is worth the time
To help them open their eyes.
For they can see
What they lost
In their paradise
Sharing and caring
Is such a hard task
For why should we
help the foolish
in this day and time.
Since love is the key
To this fate.
Because there is
such a fine line
Between love and hate
So open your eyes
To see the light
And
Do what is right
Before you are out of time.
