Piece of Mind
For the passions of love
is like a cool morning breeze.
As it blows in and out
like the changing of seasons.
For love is a bondage
for which most people fear.
For it brings hope, joy and fear
throughout many peoples years.
For the seeker of love
is blinded so,
that he can't tell
which way to go.
He follows his dreams
to escape his fears.
Blinded by love, joy
and so many tears
So what is actually real?
For the bondage between the two
creates so much love and hate.
For his fear of isolation
creates such a violent rage.
He feeds her fear
to control her mind,
to lengthen his love
for a little more time.
The lack of trust
between the two,
causes great disruption
and violence too.
She's like a child
with no mind,
She cries for help
in a silent voice.
Saying: "O dear Lord,
when can I obtain
my peace of mind?"
For in the beginning
she had it all.
Then they had become
so content with one another,
After the excitement died away,
Her mind soon to begin
to search for
new and more exciting ways.
Then she nagged of her discontent,
and his fear of loneliness
had begun anew him.
The violence of his mind
scared her so,
He beat her
to stay in control.
"So please dear Lord,
let me find my old man,
or which way is out,
to find some contentment
and some piece of mind."
P.S. So was it meant to be?
Or just two fools
in search of love,
When it is not their time
to reach this peace of mind.
