A FAIRY TALE
All my life I
worked for a living
I worked in the fields
By the time that I
to digging ditches
reached the age nineteen
I became a Lumper making good
money for a living
and that was O.K.
for a while
but then I had to
get married
if you know
what that means.
Now it is ten years later
and I am unemployed
starting all over again
in this great big world.
All my life
I believed in fables
but who ever said
they could disable you.
Because they said
behind every good-man
that there is
a better woman
to stand by his side
to push him for more.
Because they left out
she could also destroy you
so fairy tales and fables
are awfully sweet
But in the real world
in may not be
apart of your dreams.
