Finding one's true self: Part 2 of 3
--- Jason Gallant's House --- [Jason Gallant has woken up from his sleep. It is about 10:00 AM, and he has already eaten breakfast. He is dressed in jeans and a grey ADIDAS shirt.] Gallant: (To himself) Well, I guess a good way to clear my mind would be a walk in the local park. Now where are my sneakers... [Gallant finds his sneakers and puts them on. He then goes outside. He gets in his car and drives off to a nice park on the outskirts of Pittsburg.] --- The Park --- [Gallant pulls into the parking lot. He gets out of his car, and starts walking. He notices how beautiful the day is, the air is fresh, squirrels are scurrying about, and plenty of people are having mid-morning walks.] Gallant: (To himself) Aw hell, its such a nice day. I think I'll go jogging. [Gallant opens his car trunk. Sure enough, there is some shorts in the trunk. He hops in his car and quickly changes into them. He then gets out and stretches.] Gallant: (To himself) There, I think I'm ready to start jogging. Here I go! [Gallant starts off jogging. The air is fresh in his face, and he feels rejuvenated. He is admiring the different trees and animals as he jogs by. However, he is not paying attention to what he is doing. Coming directly from the opposite way, another jogger is running, also looking at the different environmental surroundings. Sure enough, they met, in a big crash! Gallant and the other jogger fall down backwards, landing on their rear.] Gallant: I'm very sorry, I should have looked where I was... [Gallant turns and looks at who he bumped into. Instead of it being another man, like he assumed, he saw it was a woman. She is in her late twenties, and has shoulder-length brown hair. Her figure and all around appearance is slightly above average, but she would never be mistaken for a supermodel. However, her most stunning aspect had to be her blue eyes. They were the type that seemed to pierce into your very soul. Gallant is taken aback by her eyes, as they seemed to see every single thought he had rushing through his mind.] Woman: Oh no, that's okay. I wasn't looking where I was going either. Seems like we both seem to watch where we are going. [She laughed after that. She had a normal laugh, but to Gallant, it seemed almost musical. It beckoned to him, and he had to strive very hard to contain the emotions he was feeling.] Gallant: Yeah. By the way, my name is Jason Gallant. What's yours? Woman: Jason, I like that name. Very intelligent, yet fun sounding. My name is Allison Larit. Nice to meet you. [By this time, Gallant notices that he is still sitting on the ground he stands up.] Gallant: Here, let me help you up. [Gallant holds out his hand, and she takes it. He pulls back a little and she comes shooting upward to her feet.] Allison: Thanks. Gallant: No problem. Allison: Hey look, there's a bench nearby. Let's both take a break, my feet could use it. C'mon, what do you say? [By this point, Gallant notices the strange feeling in his stomach. It feels of extreme excitement, but in a very satisfying manner. He quickly nods his head and the two walk over to the bench and sit down. He sits down, and then she sits down rather close. Gallant, still not completely comfortable in that position, shifts to the side a little, leaving some room.] Allison: I'm sorry Jason, did I make you feel uncomfortable? Gallant: Oh no, it's not that. I just haven't sat down and talked to a woman in quite some time. Yeah, and I'm aware it's pathetic... Allison: C'mon, don't degrade yourself like that! I know it sounds cliché, but everyone deserves the best, and hardly no one is pathetic. Gallant: Do you mean that? Allison: Yes, I do. Now, tell me a little about yourself. What do you do for a living? Gallant: I'm a Professional Wrestler, although I bet that you really wouldn't care. Allison: A Professional Wrestler? Wow, sounds exciting. I've never met an actual wrestler in my life. I know a little about it myself, I picked it up from my last boyfriend. Gallant: Just wondering, do you have a boyfriend right now? Allison: No, I broke up with my last boyfriend a couple of months ago. I thought he was right for me, but then I found out about his history of abusing women... Gallant: He didn't abuse you, did he? Allison: No, he didn't get the chance. Had I stuck around, he might have. But come, tell me more about yourself. Where did you work? Are you known as Jason Gallant when you wrestle? Gallant: Currently I work with the World eWrestling Alliance, also known as the WeWA. It's possibly my best job landing to date. I work under the handle of Alastor Stonewall, a cold hearted heel, or badguy, that will stop at nothing to succeed. We are having a tour in Japan right now, and I'll be returning there in a couple of days, so this visit is temporary. There's more, but I don't want to bore you with the details. If you really want to know, I'll tell you some other time. Allison: Seems like what you portray is the exact opposite of what you really are. [Gallant can't help but smile at this comment.] Gallant: ............Thanks. But, actually there are parts in there that tie into my childhood. I've always been sort of a loose cannon, usually when someone stands up and taunts me. I'm also very aggressive by my nature, but that's one reason why I am in Professional Wrestling, to give myself an outlet for that hostility. Well, that's enough about me, what do you do right now? Allison: Well, currently I am the manager of a restaurant that is established in Pittsburg. It's a secure job, and the pay is good. I make most of the decisions around the place. Believe me, I do a LOT more than the owner actually does. I was thinking about buying the restaurant when I have enough money and running it myself, but I'm not sure if that would be good for me. Gallant: Sounds like you have things figured out. Do whatever you want, because if you set your mind to it, believe me, you'll accomplish it. Allison: Thanks. So, why did you come here to Pittsburg? Gallant: Well, it's a long story, and somewhat personal. However, I'm pretty sure I can trust you. So here goes. This is my hometown, and I have recently been suffering from depression. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm convinced that it had to do with a question I was asked by the media at a Press Conference. They asked, "Is there someone 'significant' in your life?" I didn't answer and promptly left. However, it's been bugging me ever since, and caused me to feel different. I can't put my finger on it completely, but you get the idea. Allison: I'm sorry, I didn't realize that you were having something that personal. I should have never asked... Gallant: No, it's alright. But, I have felt much better since being here. Anyway, it's almost noon, I've got to go. It was nice talking to you. Thanks. [Gallant stands up, and extends his hand. Allison scribbles something down on a piece of paper and hands it to Jason. Somewhat startled, he looks at her.] Allison: That's my phone number. I want you to call me tomorrow, around 5:00 PM. It's very important that you do. [Gallant's heart skips a beat. Never did he imagine that he would be getting her phone number!] Gallant: Sure, I'll call you. I'll talk to you soon. Allison: I'll see you around Jason. [They shake hands, and part ways. Gallant walks back to his car and pulls out.] Gallant: (To himself) Man, I can't believe she gave me her phone number! What's going on? Has my life taken another turn, this time for even better? I don't think I'll be getting all that much sleep tonight... [Gallant drives off to do other things, counting every minute till the next day.]
