[A bunch of lightbulbs are flashing on and off. They
are emitted from the camera's held by the press, all waiting to catch a glimpse
of a newly signed WeWA talent. On stage there is a podium with about eight
different microphones sticking out of it, all set to be used. A hush decends
upon the crowd, followed by a flurry of shouts as the new signee steps from
behind the red curtains and makes his way to the podium.]
[The man is about 6 foot 9 inches in height. His weight was last measured
at 280 pounds. He has a good amount of muscle mass, and walks with confidence.
His face is interesting, as both his beard and hair are dyed deep green.
Over his right eye is an eyepatch. Across his neck dangles a skull pendant.
His clothes consist of not-too-tight, not-too-loose black jeans, a black
T-Shirt, and a denim jacket. He clears his throat and speaks into the
microphone.]
Stonewall: I am Alastor Stonewall. I have come
to this Press Conference upon request by WeWA management, as I heard that
the press is somewhat interested in hearing some things about me. Normally,
I don't do such pubilicity stunts, but I decided to be nice for a change
and come. So, what are your questions?
Press from ABC: Mr. Stonewall, we are all curious as to what your
contract states. Could you please read the details?
Stonewall: The contract deal is as follows:
1.)$250,000 a year minimum. If I prove myself to the WeWA that I have drawing
power, it shall increase.
2.)I must minimum of three house shows a month.
3.)I must attend all television and PPV shows unless I have been severely
injured.
4.)If the WeWA feels I am doing poorly and I am slacking off, I can and will
be fired.
Those are the main details of the contract. I do agree with them, and I will
make sure I uphold all parts of the contract.
Press from FOX: So, why did you decide to come to the WeWA?
Stonewall: I was expecting this question. All
right, for quite some time now I have been drifting from federation to
federation, not being able to stay in one or the other. It was not because
my ability was poor, because it certainly is not. It's just that I always
seem to get better deals two weeks after joining every federation. And then,
they end up closing anyway. It's been real stressful, and put a damper on
my work ethic. However, a former business partner called me up and told me
this promotion was looking for new talent. Having heard about how dedicated
and prestigious this federation actually is, I jumped at the opportunity
and seized it. Now, I am before all of you today, ready and willing to do
my best.
Press from NBC: Who happens to be this former business partner?
Stonewall: Well, as of now, I do not want to
disclose this information. All I can tell you is this, he currently works
for this very promotion. He knows who he is, and all I can say is then when
the time comes, he sure as hell will know that I am back!
[A murmur is heard as all the reporters discuss some
of the possibilies.
Press from ABC: So, what's your first match gonna be?
Stonewall: From my talks with mr. batee, I'm
going to be involved in a battle royal of some sort. As of now, I still have
not been given all the details. I am currently waiting for a message from
mr. batee to tell me just when and with whom this particular match will be
occuring.
Press from FOX: So, when can we expect to see your debut in a WeWA
promo?
Stonewall: Once I have received the information
I requested from mr. batee, then I will set straight to work cutting my first
promo.
Press from NBC: Can you give a short history of your
accomplishments?
Stonewall: Since this is a new fed, and a new
beginning, I really should not worry about the past all that much. But, to
satisfy your curiosity, here is my credentials:
2 time United States World extreme Wrestling (WeW) Champion - I was the last
to hold that belt before the federation closed down.
1 time Extreme Wrestling Alliance (EWA) Intercontinental Champion
It may not seem like a whole lot, but remember, I've only been in the
professional big leagues since December of 1999. I do not count any prior
accomplishments in any indy federations.
Press from ABC: Say, I'm sure all wrestling fans will want to know
this eventually. Is there someone "significant" in your life?
[Stonewall begins to look deeply depressed, but that
depression quickly turns to anger. His face begins to turn red and he shouts
into the microphone.]
Stonewall: ALRIGHT! That's it!!! No more questions.
I'm outta here!
[Stonewall storms out of the Press Conference. The Press
try to get a few more words out of him, but to no avail. As Stonewall is
driven to his hotel in a limo, he keeps turning the thought of a "significant
other" in his head. He drops his head in his hands and sighs deeply. He does
not cry, but he is now feeling a rush of emotion. That question was NOT expected,
and has seemingly crippled such a giant man.] |
