My Inspiration for E-Fedding
My First E-Wrestler
Inspiration for Alastor Stonewall

Hey, welcome to the first edition of my handler's editorial.  In this section, I will talk about different e-wrestlers, my background, and more.  I will select topics for each edition, so that you will know what to expect.  I know I promised this section like four months ago, but stuff happens.  Anyway, let's get on with the show!

My Inspiration for E-Fedding

I began watching Professional Wrestling in December of 1998.  The main reason for this was because my younger brother had begun to watch it, and I was curious as to what the fuss was all about.  I had watched wrestling when I was younger, but it just didn't appeal to me then.  Now, it seemed a lot different.  Yes, I will admit that WCW was the first federation I started watching.  Of course, we all start out as wrestling marks, and I was no different.

Also, I had seen people E-Wrestle as well.  One of my friends used to do it, and it seemed like fun.  So, around January of 1999, I discovered a site called the "Revenge Zone".  I was looking for tips on how to play WCW/nWo Revenge, and stumbled on that site.  One of the selections was "Revenge E-Fed".  I clicked on it, and remembered I always wanted to try it out.  Since I was watching WCW, my favorite wrestler was Sting.  I checked the roster to see if he was taken. Lucky for me, he wasn't.  So, I signed up as Sting.

My First E-Wrestler

Here is a profile for my tenure as Sting.  I posted it on another page I made, that really never caught on.  I keep it just in case, and now here it is presented to you:

Description of Career RWWF Career

Well, Sting started in the RWWF rather by chance.  I was looking for a WCW/nWo Revenge website, and found one.  It is long since dead, along with the RWWF.  It contained a link to this guys (his alias was Wildfire) Revenge based E-Fed.  I thought "What the hell, I'll sign up" and did.  Roleplaying good was not a necessity in this fed as wins and losses were completely random.  Wildfire eventually got the Zues generator allowing large cards, but everything was random.

Sting came into being, and ended up losing his first matchup against X-Pac.  He however scored his revenge in a rematch, and went on.  He won the United States Title first, and eventually lost it.  He did however win the RWWF World Heavyweight belt in a three way dance, but lost it the next card.  Sting would regain the World Title one or two more times.  He also gained the Hardcore Championship and Television Title.

Meanwhile, in a feud with Raven, a fake Lex Luger attacked Sting.  This prompted Sting to bring in the real Lex Luger, to be his tag partner and backup (that was another of my E-Wrestlers, but his history was so insigificant and parallel to Sting's, he is not included on this history page).  They were not much of a tag team, and were much better as singles competitors.

Sting joined many stables during his tenure in the RWWF.  His first was Max Impact, led by The Rock (also the owner of the fed).  Sting became close friends with The Rock, and would end up going with him into other stables such as Degeneration X and Rock Solid.  Although they weren't tag partners, they had a close friendship that never faltered over the 6 month span of Sting's tenure.

Sting battled against the likes of the blue World order (bWo), Raven, and Kevin Nash.  He lost his fued to Raven, thus making him have to be in the bWo for 30 days.  However, the fed closed down for about that amount of time, therefore helping Sting out.

The RWWF was not meant to stay around forever though.  The owner of the E-Fed ran into a personal crisis and had to get rid of his online service to conserve money.  Sting and The Rock said goodbye to each other through e-mail, and what a tearful goodbye it was.  Sting swore he would never enter another fed.  He has yet to see The Rock again.

Sting has since then retired, and until The Rock makes another E-Fed (probably never), he will stay that way.

There you have it, my career as Sting in the RWWF. I have no idea what the hell my record was, and I really do not care.  This federation served as a stepping for me.  Beforehand, I thought E-Fedding was all about making challenges and giving five line roleplays.  However, doing it that way was just boring.  Instead, I decided to mix things up, and make more story based roleplays.  They weren't great in length, but they enterained.  If there was one good thing, it was that you didn't need permission to include other's in your roleplays, giving me creative control over what happens.  And of course, basically all my roleplays took place at the proverbial never-ending house show.

If there was one thing that now bugs me about that fed, it was that it ran on that damn Zues E-Wrestling emulator.  Sure, it is good for people who are busy, and I created a good amount of gimmick matches (but they never lived up to their potential because of limitations).  However, they were determined RANDOMLY.  This means that it doesn't matter if you are the best roleplayer in the world, you can still lose to a one line loser.  Now that I look back on it, I really wish that it was determined another way, but then, I would have been undefeated!

However, I would not change my ways if I had the chance to.  I don't regret joining, it gave me valuble experience.  Gave me ideas of what I liked, and didn't like. Plus, the president of that fed was really nice, and I considered him a good online friend. Too bad I've never gotten to talk to him, because it's been a year since the RWWF closed.  Oh well, Shannon/Wildfire, you ever read this, e-mail me so we can talk.

Inspiration for Alastor Stonewall

After the closing of the RWWF, I didn't want to find another fed, not enough interest.  So, for five months I did nothing involved with E-Fedding.  However, I went looking for different wrestling simulators/games, and I came on a site for an emulator called 'Extreme Warfare'.  There was a link to a place called the WeW.  I didn't really bother, but I kept the place bookmarked.

Flash forward to December 1999.  I was going through bookmarks, and I found that the WeW had moved.  I checked the site, and was impressed by how professional it seemed to be.  I went about at creating a new character, since I didn't want the limitations of being a real wrestler like last time.

I decided on the look for Alastor Stonewall first.  I had created a wrestler in WWF Warzone and WWF Attitude called The Exconvict.  Although he doesn't completely look like the Alastor Stonewall of today, he was pretty close.  He had the green hair/beard and the eyepatch.  He also wore a skull necklace.  However, the clothes he originally wore weren't as dark as they are now.  He looked more like a cowboy or something at first.  But I changed the look.  He now wore black spandex (the part he wrestles in) along with a dark blue leather jacket when he comes to the ring.

Second, I decided to make him a heel.  First off, he looks like one. Second, I wanted to try something different, and wanted to see just how good a heel I could be.  I always heard from real wrestlers that being a heel was fun, so that was settled.

I decided to give him the heel persona of Jericho combined with the ruthlessness of HHH. That is because I originally wanted to be those two wrestlers, but of course they were already taken.  So I just put the two together.  However, the gimmick has since evolved.  His mic skills are closer to Ric Flair as a heel (in his glory days), and keeps the never quit attitude I possess.

The name was the last thing to come.  I originally was going to go with The Exconvict, but I saw a guy named X-CON (or X-CONVICT) trying out for a position.  Not wanting to look like a ripoff, I decided to find a new name.  I went to my dad and asked for help.  He named various things, and eventually he said 'Alastor'.  The name sounded original enough, so I went about looking for a last name.  I eventually came up with Stone.  But, that wasn't enough.  I started attaching other words, and eventually came up with Stonewall.  Alastor Stonewall, sounded intimidating enough. Satisfied, I finished up the application for the WeW, and did a sample roleplay.  That was probably the longest roleplay I ever did up to that point.  However, it is extremely small compared to my now enormous standards (A roleplay for me now almost is at least 10K in size, usually larger).  Thank God I didn't go with The Exconvict, Stonewall wouldn't be the same because Exconvict basically was a dumb name.

Now, for those of you wondering, yes Alastor really does have a meaning.  It means "evil genie".  Had no idea when my dad first told me about using it, but it actually made sense, since I was trying to make Stonewall out to be the unstoppable heel. And it is pronounced A lass tOR, not Alice tER as many people like to pronounce it.

From that point on, it is history.  And of course you can check that history out in Stonewall's Complete Federation History.

That does it for my first edition of my Handler Editorial.  I hope you enjoyed learning about the roots for my E-Wrestling career, since that is basically untold.  So until next time, this is James, signing off and telling you to keep on E-Fedding!
