Floppy installation:
Download the file romlxx.bin. From linux,
type cat romlxx.bin >/dev/fd0. From dos/windows you have to download
rawrite.exe and type rawrite.exe -f romlxx.bin.
HardDisk installation:
Type startinstall or setup in the romin shell. For linux beginners:
Don't try a hard disk installation !.... :))
What's the deal:
Actually romin is an internet gateway :it makes dial-up, masquerading and firewalling on two
network cards. I mean that is the way i'm using it.....
To modify something in romin, mount the floppy and edit with vi /mnt/floppy/etc/rc.d/rc.local,
the startup file.
Also on the floppy are two files etc/pppd/options and etc/pppd/default, edit them for dial up.
The ideea is, on bootup all what is on the floppy in etc will overwrite /etc.
To install romin on a bootable CD, untar etc.tgz in the root of
te CD.
