River Tay Declaration 10 July 1999 Transcribed To celebrate and reflect upon this day, the 10th of July, in the year of our Lord 1999, upon the Tay River Bridge, over the great River Tay, and in the realm of Tayside and Dundee, where ancestry came to be known, and which ancestry made my life possible, I write on behalf of my family, and those family members that helped make my life possible, that I may make the most of my life and never forget heritage, duty, and the road to courage, that my purpose maybe ascertained through greater ties with a land and people where I am at most ease and one which reflects my identity the greatest, for the surest means of securing peaceful passage through life is an environment that promotes growth and a people willing to change for the common good. It is for the best interests of mankind that I assert my position above the River Tay where my ancestry stayed, for I am at a position to offer my heart, mind, and soul to the lifelong process of promoting and maintaining a peaceful union between peoples of different backgrounds, faces, and places, and, whereby, I offer my service to the respectable democratic process in its fundamental capacities to promote a free and responsible search for truth and meaning in life, the search for truth and meaning, and the freedom of man and woman around the world is the essence of a peaceful existence of all, and in the words of my own composure, I offer these services to my fellowman, those services which promote freedom and peace the world around.
