Chapter 1
"I loved you," Jane went into the bathroom and turned on the sink faucet. "I fucking loved you! What the fuck were you thinking, sleeping around with other girls?" She watched the blood run off her hands and slowly down the drain. She gave a sigh of relief as though the anger, the pain, and the fear trickled down the drain along with her lover's blood. "I warned you that I wouldn't stand for cheaters. And you promised that you wouldn't." She looked down at her shaking hands holding onto the still bloody knife and then up at herself in the mirror. "YOU FUCKING PROMISED!"

She scrubbed at the knife, desperately trying to get the blood off. " You said I was your world. I was everything you ever wanted and needed. You said..." she pushed some stray strands of hair out of her face, "you said it would kill you if you ever lost me. WELL DOES IT FUCKING HURT NOW? How does it feel to be stabbed in the back just like you did me?"

Jane threw the knife in the sink and walked back into the bedroom. She looked one last time at the man she loved. He layed sprawled across the bed, entangled in sheets. Finally calming down, she whispered, "Never again...you won't cheat on me ever again."

She grinned at his lifeless body and picked up her suitcase. Walking outside to the car, she threw the heavy suitcase into the passenger seat and got in herself. She thought about where she was going to go and finally decided on finding a small hotel to stay in for the night. Shifting into reverse, she rolled out of the driveway and onto the road.

A few hours later she pulled into a small hotel. It was very cheap looking but vacant. Just what she wanted. She pulled in front of the office and looked into her mirror. This time, fixing the make-up that had run when she was crying. With on last pat at her hair, she hopped out of the car. As she bent down to pick up her suitcase, a young man in a military uniform came out of one of the rooms.

"Well, hello there, soldier. What cha doin' all by your lonesome?" she leaned up against the car, forgeting about her suitcase.
He stopped in his tracks, shocked at the fact that the girl was talking to him," Hello, miss," he smiled at her, "I'm being shipped out tomorrow morning in Jersey."
"Please, call me Jane," she walked up to him holding out her hand.
He took it, "Thomas," he replied.
"So, Thomas, is that your room?" she asked looking over his shoulder. "Want to make your last night in the US one you'll never forget?"

The smile on her face should have warned him, and it did scare him a little. But he agreed and led her into his room.

An hour later she left his room, her skirt splattered with blood and holding a linen sack. She quickened her pace to her car, got in and drove off yet again.
