| This website was done as part of a research project for one of my classes at school. It is designed to teach you the basics of alternate energy vehicles. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions, please e-mail me. Thanks. There are three kinds of vehicles currently in mass production. Most cars are gasoline/petroleum vehicles. Many large trucks run on diesel. Very recently, a new kind of car was released- hybrids. Hybrids run on both gasoline and an electric motor. There are some other kinds of fuels currently in development. These include hydrogen, electric, natural gas, biodiesel, solar, ethanol, methanol, propane, and CHF (Clean Hydrocarbon Fuel). Although none of these systems are in any mass produced vehicle, many companies are developing them. This website will discuss each one in detail. |
