The Havanese is part of the Toy Breed and is meant to be a companion or lap dog. They need to be with their family and don't do well if left alone a great deal of the time. They can become lonely and depressed if isolated for long periods of time. Havanese are indoor dogs and should not be left outside for very long.
Even though the Havanese is a Toy Breed, it is a sturdy dog and loves to play, especially with children. They can be very comical and mischevious and wll bring lots of laughter to any family. They are normally very out-going, affectionate, confident, healthy, intelligent and beautiful. |

We are a small conscientious and responsible breeder of AKC Havanese, located in Western Lower Michigan near Grand Rapids, with the sole purpose of producing dogs that conform to the AKC Breed Standard as close as possible. Our goal is to attempt to improve the breed with selective breeding and health testing. Our Havanese must pass the health testing recommended by the Havanese Club of America. The Havanese is our only breed and they are our pets first and, although we really enjoy showing our dogs, they are show dogs second. They are members of our family and are raised in our home. We screen prospective families and will place our puppies only in approved homes.
