| 3.THE HOLY EUCHARIST(COMMUNION) The sacrement of the Holy Eucharist is the memorial of Jesus Christ's Passover - His suffering, death and ressurection made present in this sacrement. During the mass the priest consecrates bread and wine which become the body and blood of Christ. When we receive the Holy Eucharist we receive the body and blood of Christ under the appearence of bread and wine. In doing so we abide in Christ and Christ abides in us. Children usually receive their First Holy Communion at around the age of 7. |
