Role Play Characters
At the moment I only have a few Characters, three of them Live Role Play and one of them tabletop, since I have done very little Tabletop. I can hardly put myself down as Willow from Buffy The Vampire Slayer simply cos I once played her in a campaign or Generic Doctor in Cthulhu campaign . So, Here they are......
Jacob Orchard Jacob is a character from the Live Action Role Play, 'Vampire, the Masquerade'. As such, he is a Vampire! Jacob is of the Clan Toreador, a bloodline of artists, poets, actors, musicians, artisans and general layabouts. Jacob is basically a vain, pompous Victorian actor who became a vampire in 1890 and who is very CAMP!!! He is also in an eternal love affair... with himself. Jacob's character grew out of a cross between myself and Kenneth Williams, with bits of other actors character traits thrown in. Servetus Servetus is a character I play at 'The Gathering' Live Role Play event. Servetus is a Fae Healer, meaning firstly, he is a fairy, and secondly, that he uses his magic to heal those fallen in battle. He is a member of the Kin Roth de Danon, a group of Fae, mortals and others from Erin in the world of Erdreja, who are members of the Dragons Faction and who worship the Goddess Danu. And now Servetus has been made Head Healer of the Kin Roth de Danon, which is nice. The Characterisation of Servetus was based loosely to begin with on Sylvester McCoy, the Seventh Doctor, but in the 'movie' of The Gathering we talk about, he is played by Christopher Lee, and he has evolved to become a bit more like me, although older of course. Auntie Doris Auntie Doris herself hasn't actually appearted in any role playing campaigns as such. She grew out of a charity stunt I did as part of RAG week in IFIS at our university. I was basically persuaded to be sponsored to come along to the society meeting that week in drag. However, the most bizzare thing I found was that, as a woman, I am eerily convincing!! So I decided to bring her back for KillerCon, the Games Convention that GameSoc held at our university, and ever since she has become infamous in IFIS, recently turning up for a Fancy Dress Pub Crawl. The Doris Website Professor James Kent-Smith Professor James is my sole tabletop roleplaying Character. He is another Vampire Character, although played in a totally different context to Jacob Orchard, since the tabletop is set in 1940's Scotland as opposed to Runnymede in the year 2001. The Professor is a Malkavian, the bloodline of lunatics and nutters with extraordinary abilities. Many years previously Kent-Smith was a Professor of Occultology at the University of Glasgow, researching mainly into ancient prophecies of destruction. When he was embraced by one of the Clan Malkavian, he began to believe these prophecies, and now believes himself to be crusading to save the universe. The Professor is actually based upon Sylvester McCoy again, although unlike Servetus (who is simply an on the surface characterisation which actually comes out as more like me) the characterisation is much more precise. Since Sylvester McCoy's Doctor could be dark, manipulative and intense, I thought these were the ideal characteristics for a member of Clan Malkavian to display. The name Professor James Kent-Smith actually comes from part of Sylvester McCoy's real name, Percy James Patrick Kent-Smith. Other Characters Other Characters I have played or will play include Caroline Blackadder, a librarian I played in a one off Cthulhu Mummy campaign. She was based on the character of Evelyn in The Mummy and Blackadder simply because Jim was playing an army Colonel called Colonel Melchett who went "BAAAAAA!" a lot, like Melchett in Blackadder. Caroline Blackadder being there gave him the excuse to go "BAAAAH! Blackadder!" at every opportunity. In Giles' online D&D Campaign I have just begun playing Evelyn, a 13 year old sorcerer with a pet sparrow who is her familiar. A future character I have planned for the Vampire LARP game is Eleanor Lavish, a middle aged Tremere lady. Pictures Of My Characters Return to Main Page
