Mrs. Flowers

Mrs. Flowers was a chapter I read from Maya Angelou's Biography. My assignment was to write a letter to Maya Angelou pretending that Mrs. Flowers read this chapter in her book and was telling her about thoughts and memories she would have.

Dear Maya,

    I read your book and I just wanted to tell you that its one of my favorites. I'm glad I got you to open up to the world and be such a great writer. You certainly turned out to be a great person. I remember the day you came to my house and I gave you the books so you could practice reading out loud. You looked like you were so exited to read, but afraid to speak. I'm glad to see that I made a difference in your life.
