1. What does Troy mean to Rose (descriptions on Page 5 of the book)?
Troy is like Rose's oxygen. She loves him allot. You know that because any thing that Troy does she forgives him.
2. How does she see him?
Rose sees Troy as a hard working man that doesn't know how to love anyone.
3. How do Troy & Rose communicate?
They talk about things and discuss things to make certain decisions.
4. How do they explain the way they met?
Troy said he came out of someplace and he was saying how he was looking around and he saw Rose and he got stuck to her right away and Rose turned him down, but then when he came back later that night, they stated talking.
5. What does this indicate about their marriage?
That troy doesn't take their marriage seriously. He takes things as a joke, but he probably does that because he doesn't know how to love anyone.

One of Troy's stones would be his relationship with Alberta. He was completely dishonest about his whereabouts. Along with being dishonest he is also irresponsible because he made a child with Alberta. It should have never happened.

Something I wanted to do but couldn't...
Something I wanted to do, but couldn’t was get a tattoo. Since I always little I always wanted a tattoo. I wanted one because I remember my uncle came home with his new tattoo. It was really nice and I wanted one. I remember when I asked my mother for it when I was younger she yelled at me.
How do parents react when you tell them you want to do something they’ve never done before?
My mother goes up the walls. She
immediately wants to just say no. She says that I'm crazy. Then she starts
asking me questions like, "What gave you that idea?" or "Who told you that?"
That's why I usually got to my father. I could get away with allot more things
with him then my mother.
Answer the questions:
1. How does Troy react? Why does he react in such a way?
Why doesn’t he want to acknowledge that times have changed?
Because when he wanted to play baseball in the major leagues they didn't accept him. He always thought they didn't accept him because he was black. So in this eyes, since he had that experience, he will always think that white people are bad.
What is Troy afraid of?
He is afraid that if Corry goes to play professional football and they don't accept him that Corry will come out just like him.
He says that he is better than him and that he is a bad baseball player.
B, What does this statement tell us about the kind of man Troy is?
It tells us that he is a pessimist. it tells us this because he always looks at the negative sides of things and he just couldn't accept the fact that Jackie Robinson was a great black baseball player.
C, Why can’t he
acknowledge J.R as an outstanding player?
Because he doesn't like that fact that Jackie Robinson made it to the major leagues and he didn't.
2. What kind of baseball player does Troy remember himself as?
Troy remembers himself as the best of the best. He thought there was nothing that could make him a better baseball player because he was already the best. The only thing was that he wasn't accepted in the major leagues because he was too old.
3.How might Troy’s frustrations hurt the ones he loves?
By Troy saying things that he doesn't mean. And he shows everyone tough love.
The problem with Troy is that he never had a good person to look up to. He never had a role model. Since his father treated him bad and he left his house at a very young age, all he knows is what he has been through and only the things that he has seen. Its just like there is a fence around him and he is isolated from loving and caring for people.
