When I was about thirteen years old, my mother found out that my father had another child by another woman. She was furious. They spend a long time not talking and tings just didn’t feel right around the house.
I didn’t understand why my parents weren’t getting along or why they weren’t speaking. I always asked my mother why she wasn’t talking to my dad but she never gave me a good answer. No one wanted to tell me the truth about what was going on.
I was fourteen years old when I found out the truth about what had really happened. My mother was having a conversation over the phone with my aunt and I overheard everything she was saying. I discovered my father made another child and it wasn’t from my mother. I discovered the child was a female and that she was a year younger than me. Till this day no one in my family knows that I know about my other sister. Like Troy, my father has a few strikes in my eyes.
One day when I get older I hope to find this little sister that I never met. I’m curious to see what she looks like and who her mother is. I don’t think ill ever forgive my father for the stress he put on my mother’s back. He didn’t just hurt her he hurt me too. He made me hate him forever.
