Then spake Iesus againe vnto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth mee, shall not walke in darkenesse, but shall haue the light of life.
(John 8:12 AV-1611)

These things haue I written vnto you that beleeue on the Name of the Sonne of God, that ye may know, that ye have eternall life, and that yee may beleeue on the Name of the Sonne of God.
(I John 5:13 AV-1611)

For the wages of sinne is death: but the gift of God is eternall life, through Iesus Christ our Lord.
(Romans 6:23 AV-1611)
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Ps. 12:6

My dear friend, please ask Jesus to be your Saviour and forgive you of your sin and be made free from the law of sin and death, and be put in a right relationship with your heavenly father.  Today is the day of salvation, do not wait for tomorrow it could be eternally to late.
Please email me for our daily devoutional:  "Bread from the Ancient Landmark Oven"

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net.  Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."   John Adams:-October 11, 1798

Bread: (Rom 10:9 AV-1611)  That if thou shalt confesse with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt beleeve in thine heart, that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shatlt be saved.
Devotion: Do you believe that salvation is like a cafeteria where you can pick and choose the aspects
of Jesus you want. "I'll have a little Saviourhood, please, but no Lordship." What's the difference?  Well,     suppose I perform a wedding and say to the young man, "Would you take Mary to be your Lawfully wedded  wife?" and he rsponds, "Well I'll take her as housekeeper." Then I say to her, "Would you take John to be your lawfully wedded husband?" and she says, "Well, I'll take him as provider."  Friend, we can't pick and choose what we want from Jesus. We simply take Jesus as Saviour and Lord over all!
Action: Is Jesus Christ Lord of every area of your life? Take time today to examine your life-your finances, your desires, your hopes and dreams.
On This Day: 1550 Joan Boucher, known also as Joan of Kent in England, suffered amongst the flames for her devotion to the study and circulation of Tyndale's translation of the Holy Writ, Word of God, which had been printed at Cologne in 1534. She told Bishop Scorey, who preached at her while she was at the stake, just before her soul ascended to heaven in the flame, "you lie like a rogue, Go read the Scriptues!"  (have we such women of faith today?!?!) drh
