Famy in Siniloan, Laguna is not a mountain but a part of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range. The area is popular to mountaineers and outdoor enthusiasts because it has at least 7 beautiful waterfalls, sizes ranging from 30 ft. up to 90 ft. The most accessible is Buruisan Falls, Batya-Batya and Sampaloc Falls. Because of its accessibility and it requires only moderate mountaineering experience, Famy was frequented by loads of outdoor enthusiasts every weekend. Buruisan and the other falls show evident vandalisms and littering of disrespectful visitors. Most Outdoor Club do not go to Famy anymore. |
