Coaching Courses

Roller Sports Victoria, through the Australian Roller Hockey Coaches Committee, runs accreditation coaching courses for Level 1 to Level 3 Coaches. The Australian Coaching Council approves these courses.

The Level 1 Course involves 14 hours of instruction and it aims to provide practical coaching knowledge and skills for the beginner coach. The Level 1 course includes three (3) components of coaching skills: (1) Level 1 General Principals of Coaching, (2) Sports Specific Coaching and (3) 30 hours of practical coaching under the supervision of an accredited coach.

The Level 2 Course involves 28 hours of instruction and it aims to provide the practical coaching knowledge and skills at a much higher level than for the level 1. A pre-requisite of this course is the completion of the Level 2 General Principals of Coaching. Following the completion of the sports specific course a further 60 hours of practical coaching must be conducted under the supervision on an accredited Level 2 Coach.

The Level 3 Course aims to provide practical coaching knowledge and skills for the coach of elite international skaters.
