| Jason's Bio: Information taken from Rollerjam.com. Jason McDaniel Nevada Hot Dice #36 6'1" 170 lbs. Birthday: December 21, 1977 "The most important thing is making the other team look bad!" And how does Jason do that? He takes everything he's learned from speed skating, roller hockey and aggressive skating and combines it all into one sport -- RollerJam! Jason started skating when he was just a tiny tot of 2 years. That wasn't so unusual. After all, his whole family is into skating, and his dad used to compete. He skated his first race at age 4, and he was into speed skating on quads for awhile before he took a break. But he was back by the age of 9. Around 12 or 13, Jason started playing roller hockey -- speed skating was just too boring. It wasn't long after that Jason began aggressive skating -- with ramps, flips and all that -- because "it's just not something everybody does." But that doesn't explain how Jason got into RollerJam. It seems that Jason was just "sitting around at home, going to school and working" when he got a call from his good friend, Dave Simmons. Dave told him he should try out. So Jason made his way to Florida, on his own, only to find out that there were no open spots. He was out of luck. Or was he? Jason stuck around and showed them his stuff. Now he's the fastest guy on the track. And isn't it appropriate that he's skating for the Hot Dice? |
