Denise/Jaime: How were your summer vacations?

Jaime
Mine's been awesome. It's been everything I needed it to be with family and friends. Skating along the beach with Stacey, it's been great. I'm going back to Iowa with Stacey and meet up with her sister Bridget.
 
Denise
While those two have been out having a good time, I've been keeping my butt in the gym. Getting my muscles bigger so I can pull her pigtails a little harder. I have set a little time aside for fun, a minimal amount of time, but my idea of fun was going out to a school track and putting in some laps on skates, knocking the joggers around. I really love when I see a jogger with pigtails.

Who are the people that you look up to?
 
Jaime
I say I've always looked up to Madonna, she's always been a strong figure. There's always other people like Sean and Buddy cause they are always good coaches for me. Sean is always keeping my head in the game, and Buddy is always yelling at me.
 
Denise
The material girl Madonna is oh so special. I looked up to my mom, she came from a small town in Mississippi and built her own company. She came from nothing, and she built a successful business.

Denise, do you keep in touch with Debbie Rice and how is she doing?
 
Denise
Yeah, I do. I talk to her over the internet as often as I can, although she is doing well, her back still gives her problems. She didn't have surgery, every time I talk to her online she says she misses RollerJam's , and to all the fans, she still enjoys getting fan mail.

Jaime, when are you going to start up your gossip column and who are you writing about?

Jaime
There should be a new issue out, and it's going to describe all my summer adventures with Stacey.

Denise
If you ever put me in one of your columns I'll break your neck.
 
Jaime
And as far as people are concerned, you'll just have to stay tuned for that.

Do either of you enjoy doing other sports?
 
Denise
I used to race motorcycles when I was younger. I enjoy racketball, I lift weights five days a week and I like water sports. I think my favorite activity is planning Jaime's demise.
 
Jaime
Of course. A lot of people don't think dancing is a sport, but it is. It has been my number one passion since I was little.

Denise
So what did you do with all the money your mom gave you for dance lessons?
 
Jaime
I think my favorite sport is running away from Denise.

Jaime, how are you feeling physically? Were you hurt at the end of last season?
 
Jaime
I was carried off, but it really wasn't a big deal. I was back on the track afterwards. I just banged up my knee pretty good, just another scar to add to the collection.

Denise, how do you feel about the new female squad of the Riot and who do you feel is your biggest challenge this season?
 
Denise
I think the women's squad I have now is probably the best squad I've had so far. They all try to give 110%, and you won't find the constant bickering that goes on with other squads, we're all about getting the job done. Whenever I go out there, I don't consider the women a challenge, but if you put me out there with the men, Sean Atkinson is my biggest challenge. There is always emotion involved. The last time I skated with the guys, he was able to stop me and I feel I have a little payback from that.

Jaime, Cindy has been out for a while with injuries... is she back on the track with you and Stacey now?
 
Jaime
Yeah she's back, she has fully recovered. She had a little car accident that put her out for a while, but she's back in full throttle.

Hi Denise! Are there any changes in store for the Riot teams this season?
 
Denise
I think that overall we have a whole, new better winning attitude. The season before we didn't care who would win or lose, we just cared about hurting people.The biggest change is Laura Weintraub. She has joined the squad and the women have a little challenge in store for the Bod Squad.

Denise Loden is one of the strongest skaters in RollerJam. With the nickname "Barracuda," she's earned it honest, paying her dues and holding her own skating against some of the men.

Jaime: What's the fourth season like with you and the Quakes?
 
Jaime
It keeps getting better and better every year. Every year I go along, I learn more. Not just about the game, but also about your opponents. I really think that the Quakes will come out on top like they always do. Time and time again the Quakes have always come through.

Denise
When you said the Quakes always come out on top, you were still talking about skating, weren't you?!

Denise, what are your thoughts on Laura Weintraub joining the Riot women's team this year?
 
Denise
I'm very excited...I think she was often overlooked on the Dice as well as Amy Craig on the Quakes. I'm glad that I'm able to take these skaters and let their natural ability shine through. You can expect to see a brand new side to Laura that you've never seen before. Her male fans will be pleasantly surprised.

Jaime, who do you consider your rivals on RollerJam?

Jaime
My rivals of course have always been the jammers such as Amy Craig and Jenny Matthews. They don't really pose a threat to me or my skating, they just up my competition level. No matter how much they step up, I just always end up stepping up more than them.

Denise
You're going to be stepped on this season.

Is there any chance the Bod Squad will split up?

Jaime
Bod Squad was there in the beginning, and they will be there through the end.

Will the Riot have new uniforms?
 
Denise
Basically the same, maybe a little less material.

Have either of you thought about a post-RollerJam's career? What would you like to do?
 
Denise
I would probably go back to doing the same thing I did before, working with my mom in her business, managing the business.
 
Jaime
Actually believe it or not, I'm going to school to open up my own business, and no matter what my business is, it will all be Quakes blue.

Denise
