Heres where the Christmas at Sea World really started. Once it started getting dark, it was time for the special Shamu show. I normally find the normal Shamu Rock's America nighttime show boring and a waste of time. It's not Disney, and all of Sea World's Shows are basically really bad, with the only Orlando shows being worse than Sea Worlds are Universals. Anyway, I decided to see this show anyway since it was new, and amazingly, it was as good as a show at Disney. They minimized the trainer interaction with shamu since by this time, it was probably 45 degrees outside. Then they added live music, a candlelit chorus that filled the audience, fire effects, and overall, made a really good show.

Before the show started...

The show started out with someone playing a guitar. A singer then joined him and introduced the show.

The show contintued by introducing a little girl on the screen who likes shamu on christmas eve, and then falls asleep.

The whales then came out and did their stuff, all part of the little girls "dream."

I've never seen this trick before in the shamu shows. Instead of throwing the trainer straight up in the air, this time the trainer was thrown up at an angle very high while he did multiple flips 20 feet above the pool.

The chorus that came into the audience half way through the show. It was a rip off of the candle light processional at Epcot, but who cares. It was a nice suprise to the shamu show and added a lot to it.

A little bit later in the show the guitar and saxaphone player that played earler showed up on the bridges over the gates that seperate the pools and while playing fire balls started exploding above the stage sycronized with the music. It was the second suprise to the show that really added a lot. The show ended with the little girl that was up on the movies wakeing up from her dream besides the pool at sea world (this was the actal live girl. Not the movie), and meeting shamu. After the show they forced you to go the long way out of the park, and along the way the streets were lined with the chorus from the shamu show singing christmas carols, as well as several other musical shows throughout the waterfront. All of the waterfront was open an hour after the park and the park closed with a foutain show that I did not stay and watch.
