Notes 05/18- 05/22 Bible Story: Paul�s Conversion Memory Work: keep practicing their part for our Kindergarten Celebration (sent home last Monday) Spelling words: spot, tug, did, pet - last test on Thursday Favorite Activities: -doing chocolate activities- weighing, measuring, adding, etc.on Friday (Chocolate Makes You Smart!!) -this week we will review T,U, V, W, X, Y, Z -talk about 2 states in the United States each day -racing through review of address, phone #, popcorn words, counting by 5s and 10s, adding, subtracting, and reading a story by themselves -field trip on Wednesday, May 20. Leave at 9:15am and return to school at 2:45pm ________________________________________________________________________________ Dates to make a note of: -Thursday, May 21 is our last regular school day. (9:00am � 3:40pm) -Friday, May 22, school will be from 9:00am-1:00pm. Closing Chapel will be at 9am. Please join us for a pizza lunch from 11:30-12. Meet our class in the courtyard after you sign in at the office. Please RSVP the number of adults and siblings having pizza to Mrs. Thomas at [email protected] by this Thursday. Those not wanting to eat pizza will need to bring a lunch. About 12-12:30, we will do activities in the classroom and outside. Then 12:30-1, we will end our day with 4 square, hopscotch, sidewalk chalk and the playground. -Mark your calendars for the Kindergarten Closing Celebration on Thursday, May 21 at 6:30pm. Children should arrive at the lunchroom area at 6:15pm. Our last field trip to the Zoo was rescheduled for this Wednesday, May 20. This will be an all day trip. We will leave at 9:15am and return to school at 2:45pm. This will conclude our school day. If you are unable to pick up your child at this different time (2:45pm), we will have free play outside or in the classroom until 3:40pm (regular pick up time). ABC countdown ! We will be reviewing each letter until the last day of school. Please check here to see if your child needs to wear any special color on a certain day. Here are a few of the activities for this week: Monday, May 18- wear school T-shirt Wednesday, May 20- field trip to Zoo Tuesday, May 19-upside down on very last days Thursday, May 21- wear yellow, read zoo books Keep reviewing- I hope everyone has saved the decodable books that were sent home each week. It will be good review to read those books again during the summer. THANKS TO ALL THE PARENTS who helped in so many ways to make this year fun and enjoyable.
