| The life and times of Micky Paladino are not interesting or
unusual in the beginning. He was born the son of a family of Police
Officers and constables dating back to the 17th century of Italy.
The only males who were not policemen were soldiers, and even then they
were usually Military Police or Infantry (more than likely the
former). So it was no surprise when he was accepted into the Police
Academy at 19, and became a veteran cop. His making Detective was a
time of celebration for most of the old block he grew up on, and most of
the new block he lived on. However, that all changed when he was put
on the case of a psychopath.
Murder, rapist, child molester, butcher... you name it, this guy had
done it in spades. Dennis the Menace, he called himself, but his
name did nothing to turn away the horrors he had committed. At every
turn, he evaded Micky and his men... until he made one bad mistake;
he became predictable. He made a pattern in his murders, one which
Micky figured out, and beat him to it. He hunted this man for two
hours, the stress and strain of the case driving Micky over the point of
rational judgment... until he finally cornered the Menace at his
apartment. He then spent another two hours torturing, beating, and
hurting him in every possible way before he put a bullet in his head,
execution style.
The force helped cover it up, and made it appear as if it was the
bullet alone, and not the torture, that killed Dennis. He was, however,
dismissed from the force on misconduct charges. He finally found a
police force in need of veteran cops; Brentford. He's there now,
once again a Detective Sgt, and now married... with a child... but still trying to outrun his past.
Unfortunately, it was not his past that he had to look out for.
But his future. Due to a chance run-in with a Ventrue Antitribu, and
then the decision by the Cardinal of the Sabbat to make Micky his own
personal past time, Micky ended up Embraced by Arcane's child, Lillith... |
