History

Sarah Peters was born as Sarah Louise Reeds in Cedar Park, NJ... a city girl, through and through.  Not very tough, she learned to manipulate and charm people into protecting her, so that she wouldn't have to either fight, or put out, to keep from getting beaten up.  Her parents didn't really give a damn about her; she was an accident, and they were only raising her because her mom's mother would give them money to help raise Sarah right (which they would spend on whatever the drug of the week was).  In grade school, she was the girl who would pull the wings off of flies, and then if anyone said anything, cry to the teacher that they did it and were blaming it on her.  In middle school, she was the girl who beat up the boys, but got other boys to beat them up if they came after her.  In high school, she was the one who manipulated and used the guys, breaking everyone's heart, but making sure they still loved her enough to either never try and hurt her, or keep trying to get her back.

After graduation, she received a half scholarship to Brentford North University, where she immediately changed her story.  She was now Sarah Peters, innocent country girl from Moorefield, Kansas.  To get the rest of the money for her college work, she began to make and sell "antique style handicrafts" that she learned to make by watching PBS at different places, as well as working as a waitress at one of the local coffee houses (which, yes, became a Starbucks in the years to come).  Eventually, she began to add some of her own little twists to what she made, actually improving on the designs she saw.  After the first year, she was creating her own "natural" art, following along the field of "household artistry" by using natural designs and materials, and making a good living doing it.  But it was during her sophomore year in college that her mind, suddenly and inexplicably, awakened to the possibilities of the world around her.

Luckily, one of the people who regularly bought her work recognized this, a man named Al Holbrook, and took her under his wing, teaching her the ways of the Verbena.  After a while, she discovered that she really liked this path, especially when he showed her that, by sacrificing living beings... especially the sentient ones... she could gain greater power.  It was like pulling the wings off of flies, only on a much larger scale, and Sarah took to it quite well.

She barely managed to finish college, getting a degree in Business.  Someone, one day, suggested that she start teaching people how to do what she did... and so she opened up her own TV show about this on public access.  After a few years, her mentor and her had a falling out, but rather than being the end of the story, it was only the beginning; she was able to focus herself more on her work without her mentor demanding time to teach her, and began to add things to the process.  It started just as handicrafts... then expanded to homemaking... and then on to cooking as well.  Only last year, her PBS timeslot got moved to a regular, weekly hour, at a very good time slot... and it turns out, the networks are now looking her over for adding her to their own local broadcasting.

But, also, during that last year, Sarah's desire for blood... and her inability to get it safely without her mentor... has been gnawing at her.

Familiar: Sarah's familiar is her pet tarantula... a LARGE tarantula... named Jason.  After Jason Voorhees.

Past Life: In Sarah's last life, she was a Nephandus.  Nothing really notable about her, other than that, and that she died at the hands of a group of Traditions Mages.  She barely knows any of this... only vague recollections, and only occasionally.

Wonder: Her former mentor gave her a sacrificial dagger for her rituals... it is an ancient dagger used in sacrifices in pagan rituals in Europe in centuries past.
