History

It was the end of summer of 1983, by the European calendar, that he was born.  Born to a tribe of Garou in the Northern wilderness of the United States known simply by their totem: The Wendigo.  Blackfoot Indian by blood, and Ahroun Garou by birth, his parents... Jonathan "Namekeeper," Adren/Homid/Galliard, and Alyson "Bright Smile," Wendigo Kinfolk... named him simply “Alex.”  At the age of 4, he was given the tribal name "Smiles Too Much," which was almost a punishment as much as it was a complement to him; he did have a tendency to smile too much in those days, a child, playing and running and feeling as if he owned the entire world.  His friends teased him about this, greatly, but it never removed the ever-present smile from his face, even when the pain of their words hit to the core of his being.

As he grew, that smile remained on his face, especially when he had his first change at the age of 13; truly, it was the most joyous day of his life, as the young warrior had found his true nature in the world.  As his Rite of Passage, the young Cub was to accompany a war party of his peers, Cubs like himself, headed to destroy a group of mortal humans tainted by the Wyrm, who were trying to destroy their forests.  He had to kill for the first time that day, and, even though they were creatures of the Wyrm, his smile faded that day.  It returned, eventually, but he no longer felt that same satisfaction and happiness with life that he had before.  And no, this did not stop him from fighting… he was Ahroun, and to fight was his nature… but he no longer had that simple, happy outlook upon life that he had known in his younger days.

For his actions in scouting out the initial attack, and doing all of the scouting and reconnaissance work, he was given the name "Di la si nv'a wa ta," which translates roughly into "Pathfinder," and was set to be his Pack's scout.  He was strong, but not the strongest... but when it came to being quiet, quick, and silent, very few of his sept, and NONE in his pack, could outdo him.

After just over one year, Alex’s elders brought certain information to his attention.  Apparently, a Lupus of their tribe, (Dale’s C), had gone missing for some time now.  No one had any news of his location, and the elders were becoming quite worried at this turn of events.  Knowing only the direction he had gone in, they gave Alex the task of finding him, and finding out what had happened to him.  He accepted this task, for it was his duty, and that was one thing Alex always did… his duty.

Now he has traveled to the area where (Dale’s C) was last known to be… and is attempting to find him.  Though what he will do when this happens is yet to be determined.

An important note... for reasons he does not understand, while listening to the music of his people (native chants, flute music, native drums, or any of those sorts of things), Alex cannot Rage, and cannot shift into any form except Homid and Lupus.  The soothing nature of it seems to be an anathema to his Rage, and, therefore, he cannot assume any of the warrior forms of his people.
