Origins:
Gennosuke was born the son of the swordsmith of Iiga
Village... and a boy who loved his father's work. He would sit
there, and watch his father for hours... watching every move, every
hammer blow, everything. He would do his chores, even EXTRA
chores, just for the right to stay up and watch his father work.
More than anything else, it was an obsession. He dreamed, every
day of his childhood, of becoming the greatest swordsmith in the
history of Japan. Or, at least Iiga Village.
And, at the age of 20, his chance came. His father gave him his
own forge, and his own tools... except for one. The hammer.
It had been in his family for dozens of generations, and his father
was now giving it to him. After a few months, Gennosuke decided
that he had to do something with that hammer. Something very
special. And so, as so many swordsmiths had done before him, he
went into the mountains, to the lodge his father had set up just for
this sort of thing. And, as winter set in, he began... and for
fifteen years, he worked diligently upon that which he would make.Present:
Gennosuke, at the very moment, has just returned
from the mountains, with two ceremonial Katanas. He had made
them for Lord Yoshiro's father, the Lord of Iiga Village at the time
he left. Finding that he was dead, he is planning to present
himself to Lord Yoshiro, as well as the swords. With this
business finished, he plans to reopen his father's shop, and become a
weaponsmith once again.
Desires:
Gennosuke has but one desire. To become the
greatest weaponsmith in all of Japan.
Fates:
Fate smiles upon the bold. But, then again,
it also frowns upon the arrogant.
