The grapevines supported by the open framework over the roof garden provide shelter from the sun during the heat of summer. During the winter months they shed their leaves allowing the sun to provide warmth. During the summer the grapes may be eaten, or wine made from them (which lasts longer).
A close interaction with nature and with God has always been the best way to enjoy the full benefits of the Holy Land. |
