AIN KERIM

Ain Kerim is the westernmost suburb of Jerusalem. In August 2005, when we visited, it was the site of the Scripture Garden of The Land of the Bible Experience.

It contains reconstructions of many items from biblical times including a threshing floor, a tomb, Roman crosses, a bedouin tent, a well and a watchtower.

Previously this place was known as The World of the Bible Gardens and was created by the archaeologist Jim Fleming. It is currently owned by Bridges for Peace who plan to move it to their headquarters in a more central location in Jerusalem.

Ain Kerim means The Spring of the Vineyard. There are several ways of spelling the place name:
Ain can also be Ayin, Ein, or En.
Kerim can also be Karim, Karem or Kerem.
