Bike round the world
	At the beginning of summer 1995 I set off on a solo round-the-world trip by bike. The journey covered 10,000 miles in 4 continents, passing through 14 different countries (USA, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Bali, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, India, Greece, Italy, Slovenia and finaly Austria) and it took 12 months to finish.
	Starting point should be Albany, NY. The first 5 month I crossed the US. During this time I was baked by the sun, soaked by the rain, thunderstorms made me scarry and racoons stole my groceries; but most of the time I had the best opportunities to get a close view of the living in the american country side. I had seen some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, met wonderful friendly people and enjoyed the culture of widely differing lands.

The Trip

	Ohio - I passed through the Amisch Community. People travel here by horse and bicycle and don't use cars or electric energy.
Indiana - One of the easyest ways to get some bucks is by ATM or just at a 'Drive In Bank'.
	St.Louis - The gateway to the west, one of my milestones.
St.Charles - This small town in the outskirts of St.Louis has preserved its old french flair. I slept just on the banks of Missouri.
	Kansas - It's flat, but some rolling hills and the Belleville rodeo interupts the boring. In Lebanon I stopped at the center of the US for a little nap.
Black Hills - The first accent after weeks and it was a long one.
	Cody - Three other bikes from California, crossing the US. The uncle in Cody was waiting with a case of cold berr on the city limits.
Yellowstone - The two campground buffalos. The first time of the trip the other tourists appear.
	Yellowstone - There are still many signs of the big 93 fire.
Idaho - It's getting colder now in September, autum is comming - let's go south.
	Nevada - Some money is missing after some visits in the casinos. Miles on the Interstate - the only cross road in Nevada.
Lake Tahoe - Friends and California is reached. Do you see the little tent under the Planet Holllywood.
	San Francisco - Final ride over the Golden Gate Bridge, for that I was waiting 3 months. The first rest for one week.
Big Sur - October at the Pacific. The coastal ride was gorgeous.
	Hawaii - Touring the Big Island and having some bad rain in Hilo.
Fiji Islands - Stopover in the South Pacific.
	New Zealand - A ride from Auckland to Christchurch on the South Island.
Australia - Sydney to Bribane with a lot of rain.
	Bali - Over the vulcano and int the sea.
Singapore - Prawns and other Seafood.
	Malaysia - Visiting some friends in Melakka.
Thailand - Boat trip in Krabi and some hot cycling at the coast.
	Nepal - Some trekking in the Himalayan with out any ID !
India - Hot and dirty, but well known. Starring in the new Hindi movie Achanck with Govinda !
	Greece - May the best time of the year at this place. It's green, green ,green
Italia - The strade del sole to the north. White cities in Puglia at hte winw route. After the hazzel of indan roads the italiens are real friends !
	Slovenia - Triglav National Park and the race away from rain.
Austria - Back home.for the summer
