Katherine Lenertz and Rokeby Students put on a wonderful winter program on Tuesday., December 11. 5th and 6th grade band members opened the program with seven holiday songs.
Students K-6 then performed the musical "Elfis and the Sleigh Riders" by Teresa Jennings. Santa, has helped form a band for Elfis. Unfortunately, the band members and back-up singers can't seem to get along. The elves, reindeer, Santa and Mrs. Claus must help solve the problem. The performance from all was delightful!
The audience joined in after the musical in singing "Holly Jolly Christmas." Then they were warmed with "Light the Candles" in memory of the September 11 tragedy. Mrs. Lenertz gave us a rare sharing of her talent by singing the opening verse.
