The wed day is surely one of the most important in all your life so it's nice to remeber that BIG DAY in a special way every year :O) In Italy we usually just celebrate the silver wedding after 25 years of marriage, the golden wed after 50 years togheter and very fews arrive at the diamond wedding after 60 years! But there are special wedding anniversary for each year of marital life and the longer you stay married the precious the anniversary wed is! Here there is a list of the wedding anniversaries that you can follow to make that day as special as the one you said "I will"!

Don't you know what to buy for your wed anniversary day? Below you can find some ideas I hope will help you to have a wonderful time. If you have some suggestions just e mail me and I'll add them to the list :O) What about a ticket? for a soccer game, a teather, a cine movie or for the luckiest an air ticket? You can subscribe for a year to his favorite magazine. You can give him a book about "origami" (the oriental art to make wonderful things just folding a piece of paper), you can do a scrapbook with some important moment of this first year as a married couple, you can leave love notes all around your home for him to find or you can hide them in his car :O) You can buy him personal business cards or a poster or a nineteenth century print. There are lots of paper possibilities!!! You can ask him to give you a blank cheque!!! :o) It could be everythings with your initials from underwears to bath-ropes, but no handkerchiefs as an italian superstition wants them to bring tears! You can buy twin sweaters or T-shirts, you can draw or write something on the T-shirt (to do it you need special colors). You can stichcross a love sentence and framed it for him! Bags, belts, shoes, wallets (but with some money inside, otherwise it will bring poverty! That's another italian superstition!), suitcases, notebooks. A red leather jacket or a leather armchair. If it's spring time, you can go to garden tours. You can buy a book containing all the secrets to have a wonderful garden or balcony, you can plant some seeds, you can wear a flowered dress, you can make a dryed flower composition or you can buy an oil painting with flowers and see it all the days of your marriage! Visit furniture shops and buy something for your home. A new golf or criket or baseball club, a pingpong table or pingpong raquets, a ship scale model to rebuilt. For him a wooden box full of champagne bottles and for her a wooden big box full of colored crayons. Why not a bike? It's fun to use and it's fab to stay fit, and for the most romantic why not to have a tandem? You can also buy a bird-cage for a parrot and see who of you can teach him to say "I LOVE YOU!" A very BIG heart shaped box full of one cent coins! a bronze medal for valour (as you have managed to get over the seventh year crisis -we have this syndrome in Italy)!!! A beautiful coloured baked clay umbrella-stand, a stencilled by yourself pot where to plant aromatic herbs. Sorry, but I can't thing of anything!!! :O( What about a collection of Danielle's STEEL's book? Silk sheets where to dream togheter. An Hermes' foulard or necktie (they are so chic!) I bet that if you wear a laced coordinated bra and slip your hubby will be really pleased! If you want an ivory object you have to go to an antiquarian shop as nowdays (at least!) it's illegal to trade ivory. Depending on how much you want to spend you can buy a piano with an ebony and ivory keyboard, or and ebony and ivory chess game or an ivory majong, etc. etc. If you don't want to spend so much you can look for the McCartney CD containing the beautiful hit "Ebany and Ivory"! You can toast to this wed anniversary with new christal glasses and christal candleholders will help to create a romantic atmosphere (... just remember to buy the candles!) It could be the right occasion to buy a new dinner A silver pen, a silver set of cutlery, a silver toilette-set, a silver tray, a silver frame where to put your last pic or a silver jewel case (where to put the next wed anniversaries gifts!) Purfumed bath pearls, a book with Oscar Wilde's pearls of wisdom or a classical necklace of pearls (you can choose beetween black or white pearls, round or semiround, one two o three strings, sea or river pearls, and so on...) What about a trip? You can go to see the coral reef! Let your hubby know if you prefer a cabochon ruby or a a facet one :O) Do you like a light blue sapphire (a Ceylon one) or an intense blu sapphire (a Birmania)? A golden watch or an heart pendant. It would be wonderful to visit the "Museum of the Gold" of Bogotà! It would be great also to go and see the Golden Bridge of San Francisco! Spend an holiday at Emerald Coast (Italy)..... and meet your internet italian friends! A blinding solitaire!
